Suriname Trade and Industry Association can log directly, which will guarantee the supply and quality of our wood, also save our cost. Investors are needed in logging equipment, human resources and other related expenses at first. Great advantage of direct investment will emerge in the long run. Being negotiated with local wood exporters, 200-500m3 timber will be imported into Shandong province every month so far.      

7.Furniture

Suriname has rich wood materials, but lack of furniture manufacturer. If processing plants can be set up in Suriname, products will enjoy good sales in the entire Caribbean region by the preference policies of duty free.
